Business Controller – Finance & Controlling

About the role

Sodexo Italia is seeking a Business Controller to join its headquarters in Milano. Reporting to the Project Manager of a major business activity, you will support financial performance planning, reporting, and the transition to a new S/4 Hana ERP system.

Key responsibilities

• Execute monthly, quarterly and yearly closings, consolidating financial data across the business.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and perform variance analysis to monitor performance.
• Provide regular performance updates and coordinate with Operations and cross‑functional teams.
• Develop ad‑hoc analyses and special reports for strategic initiatives.
• Ensure integrity, confidentiality and compliance in all financial disclosures.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in Accounting or Controlling within a structured company or consulting environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of Italian GAAP and IFRS.

Required skills

• Professional‑level Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macros).
• PowerPoint proficiency.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems, preferably S/4 Hana.
• Understanding of accounting principles (Italian GAAP, IFRS).
