About the role
UPS Healthcare is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth of cold‑chain and managed transportation solutions for pharmaceutical, med‑tech and diagnostics customers across Europe. You will build a high‑quality sales pipeline, win new business and collaborate closely with global and regional sales teams.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, qualify and develop leads through proactive outreach and partnership with European and global sales colleagues.
- Maintain and grow a pipeline of prospects using Salesforce and other CRM tools.
- Lead business development initiatives focused on Cold Chain Ground and Managed Transportation services.
- Prepare compelling commercial proposals in partnership with the tender management team.
- Define sales strategies, action plans and market development road‑maps.
- Act as subject‑matter expert on temperature‑controlled transport solutions and GDP compliance.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or a related field.
- 6–8 years of logistics experience, preferably across multiple roles.
- Strong knowledge of pharma logistics and Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
- Proven track record in sales and new‑business acquisition.
- Fluent in English and Italian; additional languages are a plus.
