Contract Lawyer – Commercial Contracts (Remote, Italy)

About the role

Comrise is looking for experienced, tech‑savvy contract lawyers to work on a fully remote, project‑based basis for Italian‑based technology clients. You will select assignments that match your expertise, manage your own schedule, and deliver high‑quality commercial agreements without the constraints of a traditional law firm.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and redline technology‑focused commercial agreements, including SaaS, cloud, vendor, and supplier contracts.
• Provide strategic advice on contract terms, business risk, intellectual‑property licensing, and negotiation tactics.
• Maintain a pipeline of on‑demand projects and meet rapid turnaround expectations (e.g., 24‑hour delivery for selected deliverables).
• Handle specific document types such as NDAs, Data Processing Agreements, commercial terms & conditions, and AI‑related transactional clauses.

Required profile

• Fully qualified avvocato/avvocata in Italy, in good standing with a local bar association.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial contracts, preferably from a top‑tier corporate law firm or in‑house counsel role at a scaling tech company.
• Fluent in Italian and professional business English.
• Professional liability (malpractice) insurance.

Required skills

• Drafting and negotiating SaaS and cloud agreements.
• GDPR/DPA compliance and data‑processing contract expertise.
• Open‑source compliance and AI regulation knowledge (EU AI Act).
• Experience with public procurement contracts (plus).
