Embedded Software Developer – HVAC Monitoring Systems

About the role

Carel is looking for a Software Developer to join its Embedded Software Development team. You will work on devices that monitor HVAC systems, contributing to innovative, energy‑efficient solutions for air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software for embedded Linux targets based on ARM architecture.
• Optimize software components for scalability across different hardware platforms.
• Improve and manage I/O protocols to retrieve and send system information.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external partners and consultants to evolve product functionality.
• Edit pre‑development functional documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar software development role.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Team‑oriented attitude with good communication abilities.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn and grow.
