Field Service Technician

About the role

The Field Service Technician will work on‑site installing, commissioning and maintaining BW Converting equipment at customer plants. You will collaborate with engineers to test, start‑up and demonstrate machinery, and train operators on safe and efficient use.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and machine manuals to install new equipment or upgrades.
• Set up and operate machinery to produce customer products, providing hands‑on instruction to operators.
• Perform routine and emergency mechanical/electrical repairs, diagnose root causes and document solutions.
• Participate in pre‑ and post‑installation meetings, assess manpower needs and ensure quality standards.
• Act as the primary liaison between the customer and BW Converting, maintaining positive relationships.
• Prepare and submit technical reports, and mentor less‑experienced team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electro‑mechanical field service or similar technical role.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills for customer interaction and training.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and work in varied industrial environments.
