Health & Safety Lead (Italy)

About the role

Glovo is seeking a Health & Safety Lead to join its People team in Italy. You will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with Italian health and safety legislation, shaping a strong safety culture, and supporting a fast‑growing, multi‑category delivery platform.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all health and safety matters in line with Italian law, guaranteeing regulatory compliance.
• Act as the company’s RSPP (Responsabile del Servizio di Prevenzione e Protezione) and assume related legal responsibilities.
• Maintain documentation and records to support labor inspections.
• Design, implement and continuously improve H&S processes and protocols at technical and organisational levels.
• Lead investigations of occupational incidents, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver health & safety training programmes and monitor completion rates.
• Coordinate health surveillance programmes according to applicable regulations.
• Manage emergency planning, including evacuation procedures.
• Handle Coordination of Business Activities (Coordinamento delle Attività Imprenditoriali – D.Lgs. 81/08 Art. 26).

Required profile

• Proven experience in occupational health and safety, preferably within the Italian regulatory framework.
• Strong ability to lead processes and people in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, both internal and external.
• Passion for building a safety‑first culture and ensuring regulatory excellence.
