Home-based Youth Consultant for UNICEF U-Report (8‑month term)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking home‑based Youth Consultants to join the U‑Report steering group for an eight‑month period ending 31 December 2026. The role supports the digital engagement platform that amplifies young people’s voices on protection, education, mental health, climate change and other priority topics.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in monthly steering‑group meetings (online or face‑to‑face) and contribute to discussions.
• Maintain regular check‑ins with UNICEF programme teams (Protection, Mental Health, Education) to provide feedback and co‑design poll topics.
• Collaborate on the creation of U‑Report polls, including drafting questions aligned with youth priorities.
• Review poll results and help formulate programmatic recommendations.
• Support the development of digital content for social‑media channels such as Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
• Promote U‑Report within personal networks and engage youth organisations to broaden participation.
• Represent youth perspectives at relevant online or face‑to‑face events and forums.

Required profile

• Passionate about youth empowerment and digital participation.
• Strong communication skills in English; ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Residency in Italy and reliable internet access for remote work.

Required skills

• Familiarity with social‑media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
• Experience in co‑creating digital surveys or polls.
