Maintenance Technician - Hammock Park

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure that the physical aspects of Hammock Park – including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas – meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This onsite position supports both day‑to‑day operations and the lease‑up phase of the mid‑rise property.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident‑initiated work orders and preventative maintenance tasks, diagnosing defects and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance work, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical and building issues and perform repairs safely.
• Experience with make‑ready procedures and coordinating vendors.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory management and documentation.
• Willingness to work a rotating on‑call schedule and follow safety protocols.
