Mechanical Engineer – Module Owner – Packaging & Palletizer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Engineer to act as Module Owner for secondary packaging and palletizer/de‑palletizer equipment. The role combines mechanical design, reliability improvement and sustainability initiatives within our Parma‑based engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D and 2D designs and technical drawings for mechanical devices and equipment.
• Develop new components or assemblies to solve machine reliability issues.
• Prepare operational documentation, maintenance plans and manage non‑conformities.
• Delegate tasks to internal (IEH) or external teams to ensure workload flexibility.
• Support strategic projects on standardisation and modularisation of the machine portfolio.
• Lead sustainability initiatives using recyclable and lightweight materials.
• Provide regular project status updates to management.

Required profile

• Minimum B2 level English proficiency (French a plus).
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork orientation.
• Willingness to travel short distances for customer site visits.

Required skills

• SolidWorks (including Simulation module).
• AutoCAD.
• QS TOP (optional).
• Power BI and internal AI tools.
• Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys and Six Sigma methodology.
• Microsoft Excel.
• SAP PLM.
