Mechanical R&D Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical R&D Engineer will create new concepts and prototypes for mechanical assemblies used in Mechanica Sistemi’s conveyor systems. Working within the research and development team, you will design, test and refine components to improve performance, reliability and scalability of our logistics solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and test mechanical components and assemblies for R&D projects.
• Support prototyping activities, build test benches and collect performance data.
• Collaborate with electrical, software and systems engineers to ensure functional integration.
• Analyse mechanical performance, identify issues and propose design improvements.
• Document designs, test results and technical evaluations in accordance with company standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in mechanical design and testing environments.
• Proficiency in 3D modelling and drafting tools, such as Inventor.
• Strong interest in mechanical innovation and system optimisation.
