OT Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

RINA is seeking an OT Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen its Operating Engine Division in Italy. The role focuses on protecting automation plants and onboard vessels by identifying risks, performing assessments, and delivering security recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify security risks in complex OT architectures, especially in automation plants and vessels.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments across IT/OT environments.
• Design and propose security measures to improve overall security posture.
• Support customers on cybersecurity‑related activities.
• Draft technical reports and IEC 62443 documentation.
• Produce technical documentation, including system descriptions and test procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Cyber Security.
• Knowledge of security aspects of major operating systems.
• Experience with OT systems at plant or subsystem level.
• Experience in cybersecurity risk analysis.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent in Italian and English (verbal and written).
• Flexibility to multitask in a fast‑paced environment and travel domestically or abroad.
• Understanding of networking models such as Purdue, Zone & Conduit.
