About the role
The People & Culture Specialist will report to the People & Culture Manager and will be responsible for the full spectrum of HR administration for our new luxury hotel in Rome. The role ensures smooth onboarding, accurate record‑keeping and compliance with Italian labour regulations while supporting the hotel’s high‑end service standards.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update digital and physical employee files and HR records.
- Administer the complete employee lifecycle, from offer letters and contracts to off‑boarding documentation.
- Prepare new‑hire packets, coordinate first‑day logistics and conduct HR briefings on internal programmes.
- Perform compliance checks to guarantee adherence to Italian labour law and internal policies.
- Manage staff extra‑on‑call requests and coordinate with relevant departments.
- Monitor holidays, sick leave, permits and other absences, ensuring balances are used within the year.
- Proactively follow up with managers and employees on leave balances and liaise with the HR admin team for accurate tracking.
Required profile
- Proven experience in HR administration or a similar HR support role.
- Strong knowledge of Italian labour legislation and HR best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly with employees and managers.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding luxury service standards.
