Production Manager – Aerospace Engines

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations for aerospace engines and related mechanical assemblies at our Milan plant. The role combines floor‑level leadership with close collaboration with engineering, quality and operations teams to ensure stable, efficient and continuously improving production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily production activities across multiple departments, including engines, mechanical assemblies and casting.
• Balance workloads and shift resources in real time to meet production targets.
• Identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints and operational risks, and implement proactive solutions.
• Own machine availability, maintenance planning and preventive maintenance programmes.
• Build, develop and structure production teams to meet current and future factory needs.
• Oversee onboarding, training and skill development of production personnel.
• Monitor performance, provide clear feedback and conduct structured performance evaluations.
• Ensure production follows released configurations, procedures and work instructions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Procurement and Operations to guarantee execution readiness.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience managing production teams in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace or machining.
• Strong hands‑on leadership style with the ability to lead from the shop floor.
• Technical background – an Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to balance workloads and manage multiple production areas.
• Solid understanding of maintenance, equipment availability and preventive actions.
• Fluent in Italian and conversational English.
• Practical mindset focused on stability, safety and continuous improvement.
