Project Engineering Manager – Milan

About the role

The Project Engineering Manager will ensure that all engineering activities for assigned projects meet program schedules, budget constraints, quality standards, and constructability requirements while aligning with client expectations and internal engineering guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and lead the project engineering team, informing the Head of Engineering and Head of Project Engineering of any deviations or additional needs.
• Guarantee the quality of project designs and enforce technical standards, work processes, and approval criteria.
• Define team composition in consensus with the Head of Engineering and supervise daily activities.
• Track engineering program progress, detect scope changes early, and assess impact on cost and deadlines.
• Control spent versus budgeted hours and manage engineering documentation, including supplier drawings.
• Identify critical supplies, ensure proper documentation for procurement, and participate in internal and client‑facing progress meetings.
• Prepare regular status reports for the Head of Project Engineering and the client.

Required profile

• MSc degree in Industrial Engineering.
• 8‑10 years of experience in EPC contracting or engineering services.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines.
