Rust Software Engineer

About the role

Prima is looking for a Rust Software Engineer to help shape the future of motor insurance. You will join a fast‑growing team that builds scalable backend services for millions of drivers across Europe. The role offers a mix of remote and office work, giving you flexibility while collaborating with over 350 engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑performance Rust services following clean‑code principles.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineering managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement event‑driven architectures, micro‑services and domain‑driven design patterns.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards and troubleshoot complex production issues.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and drive their adoption within the team.

Required profile

• Strong background in backend development with experience in event‑driven systems and micro‑services.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and accountable with a growth mindset.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
