Senior Legal Counsel – Italy & Greece

About the role

Saint-Gobain is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to support its operations in Italy and Greece. The role provides pragmatic, business‑oriented legal advice to country management teams and business leaders, covering commercial, industrial and corporate matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including sales, procurement, distribution, services, agency and framework agreements.
• Provide guidance on competition law, antitrust and unfair commercial practices.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, Saint‑Gobain Group policies, data‑privacy and cyber‑security regulations; oversee the insurance program.
• Manage litigation and pre‑litigation matters in Italy and Greece, coordinating external counsel and controlling costs.
• Support M&A transactions, joint ventures and disposals, handling due diligence, documentation and post‑integration activities.
• Act as the legal reference for GDPR and local data‑protection issues, reviewing data‑processing agreements and supporting breach management.
• Oversee external law firms and maintain stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• Law degree and significant experience in corporate, commercial and contract law.
• Proven track record handling litigation and dispute management in Italy and Greece.
• Strong knowledge of competition law, antitrust regulations and data‑protection (GDPR) requirements.
• Experience with M&A, joint ventures and cross‑border transactions.
