Senior LNG Train Production Engineer (Contract)

About the role

Airswift is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the commissioning and start‑up of LNG train facilities in Milan, Italy. This contract position involves coordinating hand‑over activities, ensuring compliance, and driving the successful launch of production units.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage start‑up sequences for LNG train subsystems.
• Review and comment on commissioning completion and RFSU dossiers.
• Collaborate on the creation and alignment of start‑up procedures with company standards.
• Define and oversee vendor mobilization plans post‑handover.
• Lead the start‑up phase, working closely with production staff.
• Coordinate performance testing and validate final reports.
• Support operations with technical troubleshooting and engineering modifications.
• Champion health, safety, and environmental (HS&E) practices.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Applied Science, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in LNG plant start‑up and operations.
• Strong knowledge of HS&E management systems and Permit‑to‑Work procedures.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
