Ship’s Doctor – Cruise Ship Assignment

About the role

Join the medical team of a prestigious passenger cruise line sailing under the Italian flag. As the Ship’s Doctor you will provide comprehensive medical care to passengers and crew while operating within a structured onboard medical department.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver emergency, primary, and preventive medical services onboard.
• Collaborate with the Medical Director and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and use onboard IT systems for patient records.
• Ensure compliance with maritime health regulations and safety protocols.

Required profile

• Medical degree with specialization in Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years post‑graduate clinical experience and at least 6 months in emergency settings (ER, ICU, ambulance, etc.).
• Enrollment in the Italian Doctors Professional Order and EU qualification recognition if applicable.
• Fluent English (B2) and Italian (B1) language skills.

Required skills

• Valid ACLS, ATLS, and APLS certifications (or equivalents).
• STCW navigation certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Strong clinical documentation and IT proficiency.
