Teacher (Fourth Grade)

About the role

The Fourth Grade Teacher is responsible for delivering high‑quality, standards‑based instruction to a classroom of elementary students. This position requires planning, delivering, and assessing lessons that meet district and federal guidelines while fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and organize long‑range lesson plans and daily classroom activities.
• Apply teaching principles, best practices, and standards‑based instruction to teach assigned subjects.
• Select, adapt, or modify instructional methods and materials to suit the needs of fourth‑grade learners.
• Utilize a repertoire of strategies to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
• Support, counsel, and motivate students to achieve or exceed grade‑level standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by school leadership.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with proof required.
• Valid, unencumbered state teaching license in the relevant content area, or equivalent Praxis I & II scores or seven years of Pre‑K‑12 teaching experience.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 40 semester hours of general education coursework and at least 18 semester hours of professional teacher education.
• Ability to pass a Tier 1 background investigation with Childcare Checks.
• Male applicants born after 12/31/1959 must complete a Selective Service certification.
