Virtual School Assistant – Support Remote Students

About the role

The Virtual School Assistant provides essential support to students enrolled in a virtual learning environment, ensuring continuity of instruction when teachers are unavailable. This remote position involves coordinating with teachers, handling technical issues, and maintaining accurate attendance and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide instructional assistance to virtual students when assigned teachers are absent.
• Communicate student absences and acceleration needs to virtual school teachers.
• Resolve technical problems encountered by students using school platforms.
• Record daily attendance and supervise student participation through online systems.
• Compile and submit data reports on virtual school student performance.
• Complete all training required by Virtual School Administration.
• Administer testing processes from start to finish in the primary teacher’s absence.
• Prepare various letters, messages, and memoranda as needed.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with proof required.
• Male applicants born after December 31 1959 must complete a Selective Service certification.
• Ability to pass a Tier 1 background investigation with Childcare Checks.
• Compliance with DoD employment regulations for overseas assignments, including passport and visa requirements where applicable.
• Willingness to undergo a one‑year trial or probationary period.
• Direct deposit for payroll.
