Deputy General Manager – Accounts and Finance

About the role

We are seeking a Deputy General Manager – Accounts and Finance to lead the finance function of a manufacturing organization. The role will oversee end‑to‑end accounting, reporting, budgeting, treasury and compliance, driving strategic financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead finance and accounting operations, prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Ind AS and Companies Act, and ensure audit readiness.
• Drive annual budgeting, forecasting and long‑range financial planning, monitor budget vs. actuals and conduct profitability and cost‑optimization analyses.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships and treasury activities, optimise working capital across receivables, payables and inventory, and oversee banking facilities.
• Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS and other statutory requirements, coordinate tax assessments and lead internal and statutory audits.
• Strengthen internal control systems, identify financial and operational risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Champion SAP automation initiatives, improve finance processes, reporting systems and data accuracy.
• Lead, mentor and build a high‑performance finance team, fostering accountability and cross‑functional collaboration.

Required profile

• CA/CMA qualification.
• 15‑20 years of progressive finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and strategic thinking abilities.
• High integrity, compliance orientation and commercial acumen.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
