About the role
We are looking for an Instrumentation Engineer to join our Milano team, supporting the design and delivery of electro‑chemical plants for green hydrogen, chlorine and caustic soda. You will work closely with external suppliers, the Product Order Execution Department and customers to ensure successful engineering and start‑up of projects.
Key responsibilities
- Develop basic and detailed instrumentation engineering documents, including instrument data sheets, regulation valve specifications and typical process, pneumatic and electrical installation drawings.
- Prepare instrument, I/O, cable lists and material take‑offs (MTO) for bulk procurement.
- Create purchase requests, align vendor offers and follow up on vendor documentation.
- Monitor deliverables from external engineering firms (wiring, cable layout, MTO, etc.).
- Conduct testing and inspection of instrumentation at vendor sites.
- Participate in technical meetings with customers and suppliers and support the Sales Department in commercial offer preparation.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial plant design and instrumentation engineering.
- Good knowledge of instrument and actuated valve types.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Willingness to travel abroad for technical meetings and start‑up supervision.
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
