International Business Director

About the role

We are looking for an International Business Director to lead and coordinate client projects from briefing to execution, acting as the primary liaison between clients and our agency across assigned accounts. The role combines commercial development, strategic decision support for the CEO, and mentorship of junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Manage international business development and oversee achievement of business goals.
• Identify client needs, new opportunities, and potential growth markets.
• Support the CEO in strategic business decisions and communicate direction to the team.
• Lead new‑business pitches in collaboration with other agency teams.
• Negotiate contracts with clients and suppliers.
• Prepare economic status reports and ensure accurate monthly billing.
• Guarantee exceptional client service and manage client relationships.
• Supervise account managers’ budgets and track financial performance.
• Oversee team resources, staffing, training, career development, and conflict resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 8+ years of experience in a health agency, pharmaceutical, or related healthcare environment.
• Self‑motivated with strong ability to build internal and external client relationships.
• Proven experience developing tactical plans and brand initiatives.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Strong financial management capabilities.
• Experience managing internal accounts and cross‑functional agency teams.
• Fluent in Italian and English; additional languages are a plus.
