Procurement Specialist – Global Procurement Team

About the role
We are seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented Procurement Specialist to join our Global Procurement team in Milan. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will manage sourcing activities, optimise procurement strategies and support project delivery in a dynamic, international environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and issue RFIs and RFQs, analyse supplier offers (price, terms, lead time, scope and exclusions).
- Support negotiations, contribute to supplier selection aligned with project requirements, budget and timelines.
- Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes, ensuring compliance during negotiation and contracting phases.
- Collaborate daily with project managers, engineers, site managers and project teams.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and align procurement strategies with business priorities.
- Monitor procurement budgets, promote cost optimisation and define KPIs to track performance, compliance and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve supply issues promptly.
- Maintain and update direct and indirect vendor lists using internal tools and vendor portals.
- Ensure compliance with HSE procedures and promote a safe working environment.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 4 years of procurement experience, preferably in engineering, energy or EPC/project‑based environments.
- Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken).
- Strong organisational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and a proactive, results‑oriented mindset.
- Willingness to travel up to 30 % of the time to company sites and suppliers.
Required skills
- Experience preparing and evaluating RFIs/RFQs.
- Negotiation and supplier selection expertise.
- Knowledge of procurement compliance, budgeting and KPI tracking.
- Familiarity with vendor management tools and portals.
- Understanding of HSE procedures.
