Systems Management Specialist – InterSystems Delivery

About the role

The Systems Management Specialist is responsible for delivering the System Architecture Plan and managing all resources needed to install and support InterSystems software, including TrakCare, across customer environments. The role combines system design, implementation, and ongoing technical support to ensure high‑quality service and compliance with service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, review, and install InterSystems products, patches, releases, and builds on customer platforms.
• Administer and maintain hosted solutions and related infrastructure, collaborating with internal teams and partners.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting, performance analysis, and custom development (JavaScript, user‑defined functions, interfaces, reports, data migration scripts).
• Support and test TrakCare utilities such as patching tools and print services.
• Assist presales with architecture, configuration, and hardware sizing requests.
• Create technical documentation, including reference guides, installation instructions, and knowledge‑base articles.
• Participate in on‑site training and implementation activities as needed.
• Develop and maintain scripts for backups, automation of patch deployment, and environment replication.
• Continuously improve operational processes to enhance service quality.

Required profile

• Extensive experience administering Linux or UNIX systems (preferably SUSE or RedHat).
• Strong scripting abilities and capability to work directly with source code to improve system performance.
• Solid understanding of information‑security best practices.
• Proven problem‑solving and analytical skills, especially in mission‑critical environments.
• Willingness to be on‑call and work outside regular office hours when system updates are required.
