Accountant – Build Italy Finance Operations

About the role

Street Smash Burgers is expanding its presence in Italy and needs a proactive Accountant to establish the financial foundation for its new stores in Milan. You will handle day‑to‑day bookkeeping, VAT compliance, and revenue tracking while collaborating closely with the Madrid headquarters and leveraging AI‑driven automation tools.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general accounting tasks, including daily bookkeeping, accounts receivable and payable.
• Record electronic invoices (SDI) and carry out bank reconciliations.
• Manage tax obligations such as VAT/LiPe, F24 filings, and electronic receipt reporting.
• Monitor store revenue streams, including cash takings, delivery, meal vouchers, and card transactions.
• Assist in preparing annual financial statements.
• Support the implementation of the group ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) by setting up opening balances, master data, and testing.
• Liaise with the local tax advisor, auditors, and headquarters.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Italian accounting.
• Diploma in Ragioneria or a degree in Economics.
• Strong knowledge of Italian accounting principles (OIC) and VAT regulations.
• Native‑level Italian and at least B2 English for daily communication with headquarters.
• High accuracy, reliability, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Independent work style with good cross‑departmental communication.
