Accountant – ERP & Customs Accounting

About the role

The Accountant will support daily accounting operations, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time. You will work with ERP systems, manage vendor data, and assist with customs and logistics accounting while collaborating closely with internal teams and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Download, upload and record AR and AP invoices in SAP and Trading One, routing them for approval via IAM.
• Process non‑trade invoices, track VAT codes, PO numbers, due dates and cost centres.
• Register Italian customs declarations and issue Slovenian invoices linked to customs paperwork.
• Perform accounting adjustments and reclassifications for customs and disbursement accounts.
• Monitor vendor accounts, create new vendors, verify bank details and conduct fraud‑prevention calls in English and Italian.
• Maintain physical and digital archives for trade and non‑trade invoices and provide ad‑hoc administrative support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Fluent English; ability to communicate in Italian for vendor verification.
• Experience with SAP; familiarity with commodity/trading systems (Trading One, IAM) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Italian Electronic Invoicing (SDI) and basic customs/logistics documentation.
