Accountant – General Accounting & Financial Closing

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Accountant to join our finance team in Italy. You will be responsible for managing day‑to‑day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting our global operations in the high‑voltage power transmission sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general accounting tasks, guaranteeing compliance with internal policies and regulations.
• Execute monthly and year‑end closings, including accruals, provisions and depreciation entries.
• Prepare trial balances and assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Perform reconciliations for banks, customers and suppliers to ensure data consistency.
• Support tax compliance activities such as VAT, direct taxes and withholding taxes.
• Apply IFRS accounting principles and record related adjustments and postings.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of all accounting transactions.

Required profile

• Solid experience in general accounting with the ability to work autonomously.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial closing processes.
• Proficiency in English for professional communication.
• High level of accuracy, reliability and ability to meet deadlines.
• Collaborative attitude and willingness to work within a team.
