Accounting Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join the Finance Team of a leading European automotive company in Milan. You will become the reference point for accounting activities across our Italian operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the month‑end and year‑end closing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support all accounting activities for Italian operations, complying with local and group standards.
• Assist in the review, analysis and correction of financial information.
• Participate in monthly and annual financial closings.
• Handle intercompany transactions and ensure proper reconciliation between entities.
• Document and improve existing financial procedures, automating repetitive tasks.
• Support internal audits and annual tax filings, maintaining regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in Finance or Accounting (e.g., MSc in Finance, CCA or equivalent).
• 2‑3 years of experience as an accountant, preferably in an international environment or Big Four audit background.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Google Sheets (a plus).
• Accounting software such as Oracle or a comparable system.
