About the role
The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports daily operations across Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club, and Laundry at a luxury resort in Sardinia. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures guest rooms and public areas are clean, well‑maintained, and meet brand standards while helping to control the operating budget.
Key responsibilities
- Manage housekeeping operations, budgets, and inventory of supplies, linens, and guest amenities.
- Coordinate room cleaning assignments, check‑out preparations, and communicate room status to the Front Desk.
- Oversee compliance with OSHA regulations, loss‑prevention policies, and lost‑and‑found procedures.
- Collaborate with Engineering to address maintenance needs in guest rooms.
- Supervise inspection programs for guestrooms and public spaces, providing feedback to staff.
- Act as interim supervisor for housekeeping and related areas in the absence of the Director of Services or Housekeeping Manager.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field (no experience required for degree holders).
- Entry‑level management aptitude with strong organizational skills.
