Backend Software Engineer III – Consumer Wealth

About the role

As a Backend Software Engineer III in the Consumer Wealth domain, you will design, build and operate backend services that enable millions of users to save and invest seamlessly. You will work with Java, Spring Boot and AWS to deliver reliable, high‑throughput financial products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and operate backend services for savings and investment products using Java, Spring Boot and PostgreSQL.
• Maintain and enhance core wealth functionalities such as automated savings goals, investment portfolios and the Invested Money Box.
• Own AWS‑based infrastructure (EC2/ECS, S3, Lambda, Kinesis) and drive architectural improvements across microservices.
• Collaborate with product and UX teams, conduct code reviews, post‑mortems and ensure engineering best practices.
• Investigate production incidents, debug complex issues and continuously improve system reliability.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience as a Backend Engineer building scalable microservices.
• Strong focus on performance, data integrity and transactional consistency for financial applications.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with product and design teams.
• Passion for FinTech, wealth management and startup environments.
