Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

About the role

As the Chief Information Security Officer you will define and lead the information security and data protection strategy for Satispay’s financial platform, operating in a fast‑growing, cloud‑native environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement enterprise‑wide information security strategy and architecture for a cloud‑native (AWS/GCP) environment.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 27001, PSD2, GDPR, DORA and CSSF oversight, driving ISMS certification.
• Identify, assess and mitigate security risks while supporting rapid product delivery.
• Lead and mature security operations (SOC, threat detection, monitoring) and incident‑response and business‑continuity plans.
• Build, mentor and grow multidisciplinary security teams covering offensive (penetration testing, red teaming) and defensive functions, and embed secure development lifecycle practices.

Required profile

• 8+ years in senior information security leadership roles (CISO, VP of Security) within tech, scale‑up or regulated financial environments.
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and financial‑services regulations (ISO/IEC 27001, PSD2, GDPR, DORA) especially under CSSF.
• Proven ability to balance strong security controls with business agility and growth.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CISA.
• Excellent executive communication skills for board, regulators and cross‑functional partners.
• Fluent English; Italian is a strong plus.
