Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth for a global chemical manufacturing client. Based in Milan (with coverage of Torino), you will act as the face of the organisation, building long‑term relationships with senior decision makers across enterprise accounts in Italy and France.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Prospect, network, obtain referrals and conduct cold‑calling to build a strong customer base.
• Promote premium‑value industrial maintenance and equipment solutions to B2B customers using a consultative approach.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets while maintaining a healthy pipeline in the CRM system.
• Plan, forecast and manage territory performance.
• Progress into leadership by mentoring and eventually recruiting and training new sales representatives.

Required profile

• Proven B2B sales success, especially in new account development.
• Track record of meeting or surpassing sales targets.
• Experience in industrial, maintenance, engineering or technical product environments is highly desirable.
• Fluent in Italian, French and English.
• Valid driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office suite.
