Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

Join ABB E‑Mobility’s global team in San Giovanni Valdarno as a Buyer, supporting the procurement process and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services that enable sustainable mobility.

Key responsibilities

• Support the PR to PO process, track goods receipt, and confirm delivery conditions with suppliers.
• Manage day‑to‑day cooperation with a portfolio of international approved suppliers to meet internal and external customer needs.
• Implement procurement strategy in collaboration with the Sourcing team.
• Verify goods received, ensure appropriate delivery, and oversee invoice processing.
• Align supplier orders with customer requirements based on ERP or SOP/project specifications, focusing on content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price.
• Conduct all procurement activities for goods and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the Pro‑Supply global supplier relationship management platform up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Degree in Managerial Engineering or Economics.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• Previous experience in supply chain, management or purchasing is a strong plus.
