CAD Design Engineer – Future Projects

About the role

The Exploration Company is developing Nyx, a modular reusable space vehicle. We are looking for a creative CAD Design Engineer to model the physical architecture of current and future vehicles and support the overall vehicle definition.

Key responsibilities

• Build CAD physical models of vehicles and subsystems using NX or equivalent tools.
• Refine models based on thermo‑mechanical analyses, system trade‑offs, and material selections.
• Collaborate with thermal, structural, materials, and manufacturing engineers to ensure compliance with mission environments and production constraints.
• Maintain configuration management and mass budgeting for the vehicle structure.
• Participate in co‑engineering sessions with propulsion, avionics, GNC, and other system engineers.
• Define volume allocations, clearances, and specifications for subsystems.
• Contribute to improving CAD tools, processes, and documentation.
• Support additive manufacturing studies and provide technical drawings for reviews.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in mechanical, aerospace or manufacturing engineering (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a CAD designer.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace vehicle design challenges.
• Fluent English; German or French is a plus.
