Central Support Engineer – PACS (Europe)

About the role

Serve as the PACS Subject Matter Expert within Radiology Informatics Support & Service Delivery for Europe. You will act as the central technical escalation point for complex, critical PACS incidents, ensuring rapid restoration of customer services and high‑quality support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert troubleshooting, incident ownership and resolution for escalated PACS issues across Europe.
• Lead technical investigations, impact assessments and root‑cause analyses to restore services and prevent recurrence.
• Support major incident and technical crisis management, creating incident reports and contributing to post‑incident reviews.
• Collaborate with regional support teams, R&D/L3 groups and ensure escalations are backed by clear technical evidence.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to service availability, data integrity, security and operational continuity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PACS and Healthcare IT environments.
• Proven experience in incident and problem management for business‑critical production systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills in English.

Required skills

• PACS solutions and radiology informatics workflows.
• DICOM, HL7 and IHE standards.
• Windows Server environments, storage solutions and SQL databases.
• Oracle Database and monitoring tools.
• PowerShell and/or Python scripting.

What we offer

• Base salary range €35,256 – €56,922 per year, determined by skills, experience and market factors.
• Hybrid work model with at least three days per week on‑site at the office.
