Construction Manager – Energy & Infrastructure Projects

About the role

The Construction Manager will support the development, tendering and execution of energy and infrastructure projects across the EMEA region. Based in Italy, the role bridges technical, commercial, procurement and execution teams to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Scout, evaluate and manage construction and general contractors (GCOs), supporting partner mapping, qualification and tendering activities.
• Lead GCO tendering processes, preparing and managing subcontractor tender packages in line with global and local standards.
• Prepare, review and validate technical, commercial and contractual documentation, ensuring completeness and timely submission.
• Estimate construction and installation budgets and support technical and commercial evaluations during bidding phases.
• Identify, assess and mitigate construction‑related risks, maintaining risk registers and reporting key risks globally.
• Support contract preparation and negotiation with GCOs and customers, working closely with Legal, Procurement and Commercial teams.
• Conduct site visits, surveys and preliminary construction activities during the tendering phase.
• Define construction and installation schedules, integrating contractor inputs and aligning with the overall project master schedule.
• Ensure smooth handover from tendering to execution and support Project and Site Managers during claims and variation management.
• Coordinate remotely with Site Managers and act as on‑site Site Manager when required across the EMEA region.
• Drive continuous improvement of construction management processes and promote a strong HSE culture.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management or similar roles.
• Proven experience on multidisciplinary, medium‑ to large‑scale energy or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of tendering, budgeting, risk management and contract negotiation.
