Construction Superintendent

About the role

AGAP2 is seeking a Construction Superintendent to act as the client’s representative on site, overseeing EPC contractors and ensuring the successful delivery of complex multidisciplinary projects in LERICI, Italy.

Key responsibilities

• Review and monitor EPC contractors’ construction execution plans, method statements and work packages.
• Ensure construction activities align with approved schedules, milestones and contractual requirements.
• Support constructability reviews during engineering and design phases.
• Identify construction risks and contribute to mitigation and contingency plans.
• Monitor HSE performance, conduct safety audits and promote a strong safety culture.
• Oversee implementation of Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and manage NCRs and corrective actions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary works including civil, structural, piping, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation.
• Manage interfaces between contractors, vendors, client teams and third parties.
• Track progress, flag delays and recommend corrective or recovery actions.
• Assist with contract administration, change management, variation orders and claims assessment.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and ensure proper delivery of as‑built documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager on large EPC projects in Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical, Industrial or Infrastructure sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary construction activities.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, field execution and commissioning interfaces.
• Excellent knowledge of international standards and codes such as API, ASME and AWS.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
