Construction Supervision Senior Engineer

About the role

RINA Consulting S.p.A. is looking for a Construction Supervision Senior Engineer to join its Rome office within the Civil Engineering Division. The role involves leading civil engineering construction projects, ensuring they meet design criteria, quality standards, environmental policies and safety regulations while being delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage construction projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with design, regulatory and company requirements.
• Review and validate technical documentation, prepare official deliverables and coordinate with contractors to resolve discrepancies.
• Establish and enforce quality control procedures, monitor construction activities and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, identify potential delays and apply mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate resources, subcontractors, suppliers and equipment, ensuring effective communication among all stakeholders.
• Monitor project expenditures, support cost‑control initiatives and contribute to budget management.
• Collaborate with the Construction Safety Senior Engineer to uphold safety programs and conduct site inspections.
• Identify, analyse and resolve technical issues that arise during construction.
• Prepare progress reports and technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in managing contractor claims and change orders, communicating adjustments to schedules or designs.

Required profile

• University degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Significant experience in supervising civil construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction regulations, quality standards and safety practices.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
