Cyber Security Defense Expert

About the role

The Cyber Security Defense Expert will work closely with the CISO and the Loro Piana IT team to design, implement and maintain the company’s security and compliance programme across all regions. The role covers the full spectrum of security operations, from building robust defenses and proactive threat hunting to incident response and continuous compliance monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance the third‑party Security Operations Center and resolve security events and incidents.
• Lead incident response activities and manage crisis situations.
• Coordinate and oversee security testing (vulnerability assessments and penetration tests) for new architectures.
• Drive remediation programmes, including patch management and vulnerability fixing.
• Assist the CISO in managing outsourced cyber‑security services such as SIEM, EDR/AV, DLP, anti‑spam, BAS and Red Team activities.
• Promote security training and awareness within the IT team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Italian, both spoken and written.
• 4‑5+ years of experience in information security, preferably in retail or luxury environments.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, GIAC, ISO 27001) are a plus.
• Strong ability to interact constructively with stakeholders, suppliers and internal teams.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with at least four of the following tools: EDR, AV, SIEM, anti‑spam, device control, ISPM, CSLP, DSPM, DLP, WAF/Bot Manager.
• Knowledge of network security components such as firewalls, IPS, load balancers, VPN, proxy, NAC.
• Incident handling, investigation and remediation experience.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment, patch management and security testing.
• Understanding of cyber threat intelligence and threat hunting methodologies.
