Data Engineer – Mission‑Driven Projects

About the role

As a Data Engineer at Booz Allen you will design and implement data pipelines that turn large, diverse data sets into actionable insights for mission‑critical projects. You will collaborate with analysts, developers, and data consumers in a fast‑paced, agile environment to support initiatives ranging from fraud detection to scientific research.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms.
• Integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Assess, design, build, and maintain data applications for reporting and analytics.
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance throughout the data lifecycle.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience with programming or querying languages such as Python, R, Scala, or SQL.
• 2+ years developing and maintaining data applications for analytics.
• Experience creating workflows for retrieving, parsing, and processing both structured and unstructured data.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross‑functional team.
• Active Secret clearance and a valid passport (minimum 6 months).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
