Delivery Lead - Banking

About the role

Avanade is looking for an experienced Delivery Lead to lead projects in the banking sector in Florence. The role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget and aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives, and calls for a proven track record in the industry, strong delivery process knowledge and effective stakeholder communication.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, understand their needs and keep them regularly updated on progress
• Work with Sales Accounts to develop the business on the client
• Plan, execute and deliver projects on time and within budget, allocating resources and monitoring performance
• Lead a team of project managers, coordinators and other delivery staff, giving guidance, mentorship and feedback
• Improve delivery processes and drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with company policies
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating them when necessary
• Keep up with the competitive landscape and emerging technologies, anticipating client needs and spotting new opportunities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration or a related field; a master's degree or PMP certification is a plus
• 8-10 years of experience in project management, delivery management or a related role within the banking industry
• Proven experience managing system integration projects
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills, able to handle multiple projects under pressure

Required skills

• Proficiency in project management software and tools such as MS Project, JIRA and Trello
• Knowledge of core banking migrations, compliance initiatives, CRM platforms and payments solutions is highly appreciated
