Director – Lead HR Business Partner, Continental Europe

About the role

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner for Continental Europe is a senior leadership position responsible for shaping and delivering the people strategy across multiple European markets. Reporting to regional leadership, the role works closely with country managers to drive organisational effectiveness, talent pipelines and cultural cohesion while managing regulatory and people‑risk considerations.

Key responsibilities

• Own and implement a cohesive HR strategy for Continental Europe aligned with global priorities and local business objectives.
• Advise Country Managers on organisational design, workforce planning, succession, change management and leadership effectiveness.
• Interpret geopolitical, macro‑economic and regulatory trends and translate them into workforce and people‑risk decisions.
• Represent Continental Europe in firm‑wide HR initiatives and contribute to global HR strategy.
• Provide regional oversight across core HR disciplines, partnering with HR Operations, Centres of Excellence, Legal, Finance and other functions.
• Drive standardisation, process optimisation and employee experience improvements.
• Lead and develop Continental European HR Advisors, ensuring high‑quality guidance throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Partner with Employee Relations and legal counsel to mitigate and resolve employee‑relations issues.

Required profile

• Strategic, hands‑on leader with extensive experience in European labour markets.
• Proven track record of influencing senior leaders in a fast‑paced, matrixed, international environment.
• Deep HR Business Partner expertise with credibility to advise, challenge and drive change.
• Strong analytical mindset, able to use data and insight for informed decision‑making.
