Early Years Assistant – International School in Venice

About the role

We are seeking an Early Years Assistant to join our international school in Venice starting August 2026. The role supports the lead teacher in delivering the IB Primary Years Programme to children aged 2‑6, fostering a safe and inquiry‑based learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in preparing materials, organising resources and maintaining a stimulating classroom aligned with IB PYP principles.
• Support individual and small‑group learning during inquiry activities and reinforce concepts.
• Facilitate classroom routines, transitions, and daily organisation, ensuring a clean and orderly environment.
• Supervise students during indoor and outdoor activities, promoting social, emotional and physical development.
• Collaborate with colleagues in team meetings, contribute to school initiatives and share best practices.
• Participate in school‑wide duties such as arrival, dismissal and break‑time supervision, adhering to safeguarding policies.

Required skills
