Early Years Teacher

About the role

The Early Years Teacher will support the lead teacher in delivering a high‑quality preschool curriculum. You will help create a safe, engaging environment where young children can explore, learn and develop socially and emotionally.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans, learning activities and educational games aligned with the preschool curriculum.
• Supervise children during classroom activities, playtime, meals and outdoor periods, ensuring safety and positive behaviour.
• Support behaviour management by reinforcing classroom rules and guiding children in social‑emotional development.
• Prepare and organise learning materials, resources and displays to facilitate hands‑on learning.
• Maintain a clean, hazard‑free classroom and assist with sanitising toys and equipment.
• Provide one‑on‑one or small‑group support for children needing extra assistance.
• Observe children’s development and communicate observations or concerns to the lead teacher.
• Help children with daily routines such as arrivals, departures, toileting, meals and rest time.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (required).
• Completion of a TKT training course.
• Prior experience working with young children in an educational or care setting (preferred).
