Field Reliability Engineer

About the role

The Field Reliability Engineer is the technical reference for Connected Services within Stellantis' tech centre. This role ensures system‑level reliability of onboard, offboard and mobile‑app functions, handling critical incidents such as plant blockages, fleet vehicle start‑up failures and OTA campaign issues.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and perform root‑cause analysis for Connected Services problems.
• Conduct system‑level analysis and support diagnostics for engineering and validation teams.
• Monitor technical and architectural developments across the end‑to‑end Connected Services solution.
• Provide expert backup to commissioning teams, resolving blocking issues on benches and vehicles.
• Assist test teams with configuration and commissioning of offboard systems, onboard platforms and mobile applications.
• Debug fleet and press vehicles, support major project deliveries, and oversee OTA update activities.
• Deliver technical support during regional vehicle launches to ensure proper Connected Services functionality.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in automotive connectivity and embedded systems.
• Proven ability to analyse complex system‑level issues and drive durable fixes.
• Hands‑on experience with vehicle diagnostics, OTA processes and field troubleshooting.
• Effective collaboration with engineering, validation, test and plant operation teams.
• Capacity to work under pressure and manage critical incidents across global sites.
