Field Service Engineer – Verona (Remote)

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support its surgical eye‑care equipment portfolio. The role is based in Italy and can be performed remotely, providing technical expertise to customers across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Commission, install, test, and calibrate Alcon surgical instruments at customer sites.
• Perform emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, retrofits and upgrades to maximize equipment uptime.
• Diagnose complex start‑up issues, troubleshoot implementation problems and train users on equipment features.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to secure future business and gather feedback.
• Communicate equipment problems, quality concerns and customer needs to internal teams.
• Manage spare‑part inventory, ensure timely return of cores and achieve inventory turn goals.
• Prepare commercial offers for technical services and support service‑contract penetration in the assigned territory.
• Control expenses within budgetary guidelines and report activities in the CRM system.

Required profile

• Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience in networking or telecommunications, including local‑area network (LAN) and communication systems.
