Frontend Engineer Intern

About the role

We are seeking a Frontend Engineer Intern to join Blue Oak Consulting’s technical team. Working remotely, you will help build web‑based tools that visualise complex financial assessments for an international investment group based in Rome.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reusable UI components using JavaScript and modern front‑end frameworks.
• Transform financial charts and tables into interactive dashboards for client presentations.
• Collaborate with the advisory team to identify data points that require visual emphasis.
• Ensure responsive design and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Integrate front‑end interfaces with back‑end financial data sources.
• Write unit tests and perform manual testing to guarantee numerical accuracy.
• Document code changes and follow clean version‑control practices.
• Assist in deploying internal tools used for capital‑allocation analysis.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Computer Science or related degree program.
• Strong interest in finance or investment analytics.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with senior developers and advisory staff.

Required skills

• JavaScript.
• Experience with modern front‑end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
• Unit testing.
• Version control using Git.
