Global Mobility Regional Tax Lead – Europe & SSA

About the role

Join Baker Hughes' Global Tax Team as the Regional Tax Lead for Europe and Sub‑Saharan Africa. You will drive the development of a best‑in‑class Global Mobility tax function, supporting employee tax matters across a complex, multinational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute the vision for a best‑in‑class Global Mobility tax function.
• Manage end‑to‑end tax reporting, accounting, forecasting, provision, compliance and settlements.
• Partner with tax service vendors to deliver innovation, cost efficiencies and high‑quality service.
• Coordinate the employee tax support experience for the region.
• Stay abreast of market practices and implement leading‑edge tax solutions.
• Develop and optimise tax planning strategies and streamline processes with regional tax leads.
• Communicate tax matters to functional areas and influence peers to meet objectives.
• Engage with leadership and key stakeholders to strengthen the Global Mobility brand.
• Lead additional initiatives within the scope of the role.

Required profile

• Strong leadership presence with the ability to navigate complex situations.
• Advanced knowledge of expatriate tax and social security programs in Europe and SSA.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical tax concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Strategic thinking and ability to link talent mobility to overall business strategy.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective problem‑identification and solution‑oriented mindset.
