Group Indirect Tax Specialist

About the role

As a member of the Global Tax team, you will lead VAT and indirect‑tax initiatives across the Group’s European affiliates and other jurisdictions. You will act as the central point of contact for tax, finance and IT stakeholders, ensuring compliant and efficient VAT processes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse supply‑chain structures and design VAT solutions.
• Gather VAT business requirements from Procurement, Accounts Payable and other functions.
• Support VAT registrations in multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with IT to configure, test and maintain VAT functionality within the ERP/tax engine.
• Ensure documentation, compliance and reporting are in place and drive continuous‑improvement projects.
• Oversee VAT processes, deliver technical training and produce manuals.
• Prepare and file VAT returns, EC Sales Listings, Intrastat and other statutory filings.
• Assist local finance teams during VAT audits and disputes.

Required profile

• Strong experience in VAT and indirect tax, preferably from a consulting firm or an in‑house multinational tax function.
• Master’s degree in Economics or Law.
• Proven project‑management abilities and capacity to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent in English.
